The straight tool has a body placed in the centre line of the handle making for high cutting power. The blade does not bend during carving.

The blade ends in a V-shaped cutting edge, its tip has a slightly rounded or sharp angle. This tool is designed to cut straight lines as well as curves, it is often used by sculptors and furniture restorers.
